The Mothers

A Comedy

Mothers come in all shapes and styles—helicopter moms, laid-back moms, drill sergeants, and thespoil-‘em-rotten mothers. But there’s one thing most moms have in common: they’re never quite sure they’re doing it right.

So what happens when you take three wildly different moms, each with their own parenting styles, and put them under one roof for a month? Chaos, comedy, and a whole lot of love!

Meet Margie—a textbook house-and-home mom. She lives for family, keeps her home spotless,  and can cook up a tempest in a sauce pot. But with her kids grown and out of the house, she’s feeling depressed and useless—until she gets the best news ever! Her daughter, Stephanie, pregnant with twins needs to move in while she’s on bed rest.

Stephanie and her husband, Andres, are just settling in when they find Andres’ glamorous telenovela mother, Vivianna, on Margie’s doorstep– all the way from Colombia! She’s glamorous, dramatic, and determined to make up for lost time with her son. The problem? She doesn’t know a bulb of garlic from a feather duster. While each of the two mothers fights to change each other, Stephanie, hormonal and frightened, is not sure which “mother” she wants to be. The Odd Couple meets Pygmalion in this comedy about family, unconditional love, and the choices mothers make.
